Cerebral means related to the brain, the word palsy means ‘weakness’
Types:
Spastic cerebral palsy:
Muscles are stiff and tight, leading to difficulties with movement.
Dyskinetic cerebral palsy:
Involves involuntary and uncontrolled movements.
Ataxic cerebral palsy:
Affects balance and coordination, leading to shaky movements.
Mixed cerebral palsy
Combination of spasticity, dyskinesia, or ataxia.
