Stroke

When the blood supply to the brain is reduced or blocked, or when a blood vessel in our Brain ruptures, one experiences a stroke. The rupture or blockage makes it impossible for the blood and oxygen from reaching the brain, therefore, damaging and killing the brain cells by cutting off their oxygen supply.

Primary Types of Stroke

Ischemic Stroke

The most common type of stroke, it occurs when a blood clot blocks or narrows an artery that supplies blood to the brain, leading to reduced blood flow and oxygen to brain cells.

Hemorrhagic Stroke

When a blood vessel in the brain ruptures or leaks, blood flow to brain tissue is interrupted.
